聞杜鵑偶成
四時緘默豈無聲
纔到炎天便大鳴
誰謂怨啼無用處
一聲挽得六陽亨

Tứ thời giam mặc khởi vô thanh
Tài đáo viêm thiên tiện đại minh
Thùy vị oán đề vô dụng xứ
Nhất thanh vãn đắc lục dương hanh.

Dịch nghĩa : 
Ngẫu hứng khi nghe tiếng quốc kêu 
Bốn mùa ngậm miệng đâu phải là không có tiếng, 
Vừa đến lúc gặp trời nóng nực liền kêu to; 
Ai bảo tiếng kêu oán hận đó không được việc gì, 
Một tiếng kêu kéo được sáu hào dương thông suốt.

Bốn mùa im lặng chẳng nghe ran, 
Chợt nóng vừa sang tiếng rộn ràng; 
Ai bảo oán than không được việc, 
Tiếng kêu kéo được sáu dương thông.

Khi trời nóng nực giọng kêu nồng nàn;

Étant jamais muette, elle garde discrètement sa voix longuement
Dès que l'été arrive, elle pousse des grands cris.
Qui dit que son ton plaintif est inutile
Il annonce le temps que les talents puissent se représenter.

Meaning: 

Hearing the Cuckoo’s screams, impromptu 
It keeps  silence for a long time but is not dumb at all 
In the beginning of summer, it cries loudly at once. 
Don't say that its plaintive cry is useless
It announces the appropriate time for talents to make achievements.

Notes:

1. Chim Đỗ Quyên: The bird’s called Đỗ Quyên (white-breasted waterhen), a kind of waterhen, widely lived in SEA. The white-breasted waterhens have mainly dark grey upperparts and flanks and a white neck and breast.

2. Force: Thuần Càn, one of the divinatory symbols in the Chinese I-Ching, consists six stacked horizontal lines, each line is Yang (positive) symbol; It means Force or Heaven (King symbol of firmness); It is symbol of April (the Beginning of Summer, one of the 24 solar terms in a year) also.
